Conference Development Goes on the Road

The Conference Development Committee proposed an Outreach Meeting in Lincoln, CA to reacquaint folks in this portion of our Sierra-Cascade region with SCLC and what the Logging Conference currently includes and offers. We had hopes of 20 in attendance if we provided dinner and held the meeting after work and during the week.

Our Outreach Dinner November 16th, 2016 surpassed all of our expectations with 40-folks in attendance! The historic restaurant in Lincoln (Beermann's Beerwerks) provided an outstanding forum for socializing, conversation and dining (top notch food, service & atmosphere). As well as distributing our 2017 Conference Posters, 2016 R & D's, and tri-fold flyers on center tables.

Needless to say, the Conference Development Outreach Meeting provided timely SCLC information, but received in exchange very valuable feedback, ideas and support to make our Logging Conference even better in the coming years. With your current President and the next three Conference President's in attendance, we were inspired to schedule an Anderson Conference Development Committee meeting on Tuesday, November, 29th, 2016 (3:00 pm to 5:00 pm) to get to work right away.

Conference Development is seeking to schedule a similar Outreach Meeting in the Yreka, CA area in the coming months and SCLC looks to be on the Program Agenda for the upcoming Associated California Loggers (ACL) Conference in Reno, NV January 10th-12th.
