SCLC Presents at Breaking Barriers Conference

On Monday, August 28th, Education Committee members Carol Perea and Ted James will present to education professionals attending the "Breaking Barriers" conference held in Visalia, CA. The presentation will focus on creating and sustaining educational partnerships between schools, business, college and the community.
Anderson High School and Sierra Pacific Industries have been partners in education for more than 23-years and that relationship has grown to include both Shasta College and the Sierra-Cascade Logging Conference. The 2017 In-Woods Forest Harvest Demonstration provided the backdrop for a film that will be shown during the Visalia Conference. The In-Woods Show is a coalescing event that is a true collaboration of Education, Business, Academia and Industry Association. Pacific Sky Media filmed on-location at the 2017 In Woods Demo, as well as Shasta College and Anderson High School.
